Western civilization had a major influence on all other peoples of the world in modern times, beginning with an age of Western discovery and colonization, and the establishment of colonial empires.

Asiatic peoples including Middle Eastern with Turkish, Egyptian, Persian, Levantine, Mesopotamian peoples, Arabian, and North African peoples; South Asian peoples including those of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka; Central Asian peoples including Inner Asian and Western Asian peoples; Oriental peoples including Chinese, Japanese, and Korean peoples; and Southeast Asian and Oceanic peoples can be used to examine the 16th century, 17th century and 18th century. They can be used to examine the 19th century including the early 19th century, early mid 19th century, mid 19th century, late mid 19th century, and late 19th century. Asiatic peoples were increasingly dominated by Western Civilization. They can be used to examine the 20th century including the early 20th century, early mid 20th century, mid 20th century, late mid 20th century, late 20th century, and early 21st century. Asiatic peoples regained their political independence, although they retained much Western influence.

African peoples

African peoples including Eastern African peoples, Western African peoples, Southern African peoples, and Central African peoples can be used to examine the 16th century, and17th century. There were Islamic kingdoms in much of the interior and some European exploration along the coasts. African peoples were partitioned and colonized by Western powers in the late 19th century. American Indian peoples

The most developed peoples were conquered by the Spanish.
