I had begun rewriting the Knowledge base as a Word document, and didn’t have a back up. Oops. I lost three months of work on it, so it’s taken some time to rebuild. I’ve done so in a slightly different direction.

At present, for history in general, I have been paying more attention to cities and countries. I have a complete list of nations and a historical mention of many of them. I don’t yet have a list of the smaller island nations, I have about 160 specific cities mentioned as having a history. For the moment, I am extending this list so that I can consider more regions of the larger nations. I also need to rebuild my connections to particular religions, government, and economics.

This is already causing me to have to catch up in modern history. Specifically, I am considering more of the provinces of China, since there is a something of a mismatch between the sizes of cities and the size of the provinces.

For the 21st century, I am at present connecting to groups of major cities. Mexico City and New York City are the two largest in Western civilization: Once these are connected, I expect to resume connections of nations. Spain is one of my targets.

The early mid 21st century is about to connect to Nigeria. I could at this point begin connecting cities. This is still new and more focused on current events.

The early 21st century is about to connect to Mexico. I have frequently noticed that this is a thicker, meatier slice of history than the early mid 21st century.

The 20th century is likewise thicker and meatier than the 21st century so far. Here, I don’t yet have all the major powers summarized, but I have added a note on the history of Turkey. This clears the way for the 19th century to consider the Ottoman Empire.

The late 20th century from 1981 to 2000, so far only has specific mention of the United States. Earlier periods of the 20th century are not yet well development.

For Sociology in general, I have mostly paused this until history is better connected to social institutions. Peoples of the world have been connected to major groups of cities, and I am currently working on developing areas of social mechanics. For Western Civilization, I have connections to the major groups of Western cities. If I follow the lead of cities, I need to consider connection to regions of China and India, although Middle Eastern peoples are more closely connected. Anglic (or English-speaking) peoples are still being connected to other nations and cities of Western Civilization. For Asiatic peoples, I have been more focused to connecting cities, but I have now reached a point where I need to give more attention to China.

For this latest pass, I have been giving more attention to China. For all its size, China is not monolithic. The regions of china are getting more detailed attention, although I have not yet compiled specific details.

For communities in general, it is easiest to connect to particular nations, although I am not in a great hurry about this. Social mechanics in general is also having nations added.

For Institutions in general, I have been more concentrating on connecting nations and cities, although this really depends more heavily on connections with culture, which are so far rather neglected. The connection of religion with nations and peoples is important but not really interesting until I get to specific nations and particular religions. Government is not yet well connected to nations, in this incarnations of the SKB, but it will be a significant area of focus.
