This post, that is.  In general, I have been trying to broaden the examination of nations and cities. I’ve been working on broadening the examination of Western Civilization. The latest review has show me that I need to clear the way by concentrating on Asiatic peoples for classical and medieval periods, but I already knew that.  I have a sketch of Anglic peoples for modern times. I have a sketch of Russian history back to Ivan the Terrible (in the 16th century), and a big glob of nations taken back to the late mid 18th century.  It appears at the moment that I need to examine Chinese, Indian ,and Indonesian history more than I would really like to, in order to clear the way for early modern European developments.
